A strong Class is not just one that competes; it is one that knows how to have fun together, and in this the YBOD owners excel! Class members organise a wide variety of social activities, from Class dinners to barbecues and quiz nights. Not to mention, of course, the perennially popular social activity of sitting on the bank and shooting the breeze, which often takes all afternoon and evening, with intermittent bouts of sailing thrown in!
The Class is also keen to assist in the development of One Design sailing and has produced several nationally and internationally recognised sailors. Equally importantly perhaps, the class encourages and assists the next generation of sailors, by providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which to learn.
