Norfolk Broads Yacht Club is situated on Wroxham Broad and has a YBOD race every Sunday afternoon throughout the summer season, with points being tallied for a number of series trophies. The ‘Allcomers A’ series for keel boats are also competed in YBODs and a number of boats regularly attend. Additionally the club has three events (two Open and one Closed) throughout the year, as well as Wroxham Week in July, which is open to members and visitors alike and culminates on the Sunday with the club’s annual ‘Jewel in the Crown’, the Diamond Jubilee Gold Challenge Cup for Mixed One Designs. Horning Sailing Club has racing throughout the season for YBODs on either the river or on Black Horse Broad. These races go towards series points, cuminating in trophies at the end of the year. Horning has a regatta week in August with a full programme of YBOD and ‘Allcomers A’ races. Norfolk Punt Club at Barton Board sail YBODs on Barton Broad and has a very active fleet. Racing takes place on Sundays throughout the season with club members sailing for points and subsequent trophies. NPC has a YBOD Open meeting for visitors in June attracting a number of visiting boats from other Broads’ clubs. Barton Open Regatta in August is a wonderful event, with three days’ sailing over the August Bank Holiday.
